Covers the war from initial attack to the end of the war. Includes statistics on losses, Aces, an excellent authoritative selection.

RETURN OF THE ENOLA GAY - by Paul Tibbets
Who knows more about what actually happened on the most famous mission in history? I was so impressed with this book I consider it one of my most prized possessions.

CRIMSON SKY - By John R. Bruning
The Air Battle For Korea. This is a must read. It covers the air war, F-86,
Mig-15, B-29, etc. in a most realistic style. You will not be able to put it
down until finished.

MACARTHURS WAR - by Stanley Weintraub
The story of the self destruction of an American Hero. A thrilling account of his actions during the months of his command. I was impressed with the monumental research required to produce this book. The best and most complete account of the tragedy.

THE BATTLE OF OKINAWA. THE BLOOD AND THE BOMB - George Feifer
478 pages covering the last great battle of the war. Naval encounters, sinking the Yamato, Kamikaze attacks, aerial battles, it's all there. I call this one TOTAL COVERAGE.

SUPERFORTRESS - Steve Birdsall
Filled with rare photos, illustrations, and information on the B-29. Excellent.

BOMBERS OVER JAPAN - KeithWheeler.
A Time-Life Book. Crammed full of aerial photos, coverage of Japanese aircraft, coverage of the total devastation of Japan by B-29s.

PROOF THROUGH THE NIGHT

The United States Air Force Museum has the most important and largest collection of aircraft in the world. Located in Dayton, Ohio, their newly finished buildings store a most valuable and rare collection of American and foreign aircraft. The total number is over 380. Among them are the YF-22, B-2, B-36, B-29 Box Car, XC-99, B-1A, F-117A, B-58A, SR-71A, U-2, XB-70, and hundreds more, magnificently restored. I have visited the museum over a dozen times, it is a photographers paradise. A massive building campaign is nearing completion to house most of these priceless aircraft. Join "THE FRIENDS OF THE USAF MUSEUM" and receive one of the most interesting and informative publications, "The Friends Journal"

THE LOST SQUADRON
The most exciting and unbelievable warbird recovery ever attempted. In 1942, six P-38's and two B-17's lost over the north atlantic made emergency landings on the Greenland icecap. 50 years later they were located 268 feet inside the icecap. A team made a remarkable recovery of one P-38, nicknamed "Glacier Girl". After years of painstaking work restoring it, the most beautiful sight ever was the actual flight of the restored beauty. History channel coverage. You will say the entire episode was an impossibility. A must have.
